The Burrough Harmony Centre are grateful for a number of donations we have received over the Christmas period. Senior members of the Freemasons visited the Assembly Rooms to present a cheque for £500 to support the work that Harmony and The Community Front Rooms does in helping people when they are in crisis with their mental health. Harmony is very grateful for their support and recognition
The Cornish Bakery in West Bay remained open during the Christmas period to support people who were by themselves during this time. It can be the loneliness time for some, but this year was particularly hard for many, being separated from family and friends during such anxious and challenging times. Being there, being kind and giving a smile can have a positive impact on people’s wellbeing and mental health. During this time they and their customers raised money for Harmony and kindly donated £254.
Following the Mayor's Christmas blog we have also received donations from others to support the work we do at Harmony making a difference to our community mental health and wellbeing.
Bridport Community Front Room is now able to offer face to face support at the Assembly Rooms at Gundry Lane.

The Burrough Harmony Centre continuing to support their community with their mental health and wellbeing during Coronavirus pandemic #CommunitiesCan @dcmsgovuk @TNLCommunityFund We were delighted to hear that the Burrough Harmony Centre was to benefit from the money raised at the recent Bridport Bounces Back event. The socially distanced music event, organised jointly by Bridport Folk Festival and Bridport Town Council, gave Bridport residents a chance to listen to local bands and enjoy the music in a safe controlled environment. Harmony is also starting to ‘Bounce Back’. The Drop In group has been meeting in the Community Orchard when weather permits and members have been very productive in the Harmony allotment harvesting lots of veg and fruit. Many thanks to our volunteer Mary for all her hard work to resurrect the allotment. We are also working hard at the Assembly Rooms to make the changes needed to allow us to open up some of our face to face services again. In the meantime, we are continuing to offering telephone and video support. Harmony Drop in support is available Monday 10am-4pm and Wednesday & Friday, tel no 07597 379290. The Community Front Room crisis support offers support by video and telephone calls from 3.15pm - 10.45pm on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, tel no. 07385 290804 Video link -https://www.dorsethealthcare.nhs.uk/patients-and-visitors/attend-anywhere https://nhs.vc/community-front-room--bridport Keep reading our blogs for more information...........
